Salary between
$72,450 — $97,367,

depending on qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Be a current law enforcement officer in the US for a municipality, county, or state law enforcement agency (or have a current certification if not active).

Crime Analyst

Collects, conceptualizes, analyzes, interprets, and prepares police data to evaluate police deployment, responses, and problem-solving efforts.

Property and Evidence Technician

Responsible for the receipt, recording, security and disposition of all recovered evidence, property and contraband coming into the custody of the Police Department, as well as the processing of crime scenes.

Recruitment Analyst

Responsible for coordinating and conducting the marketing, recruiting, testing and background processes on candidates for positions within the Police Department

Police Technical Systems Administrator

Duties include maintaining and troubleshooting police information and other technical systems, assisting staff in the use of such systems, and conducting training for users. 

Photo Enforcement Technician

Review, analyze and research photo generated speed and red-light violations to ensure accuracy and driver identity. Prepare court packets and testify on behalf of the department at municipal court hearings of violations.

Police Dispatcher

Answers incoming lines from citizens on emergency 911, or administrative telephone lines. Dispatches available units to handle crimes or issues. Operates radio and computer aided dispatch terminals to interact with and direct operation of field personnel.

Records Specialist

Performs complex record keeping including compiling statistics, data entry, filing, proofreading, scanning, retrieval and redactions of police reports, other forms, and body worn camera video, as well as maintenance of computerized records management system, and other clerical work. 

Police Training Coordinator

Leads and identifies the training requirements for department and individuals within the organization. Includes the development, management, and coordination of annual training, performance standards, accreditation documentation, lesson plan development and retention.

Police Communications Manager

Manages the day-to-day operations and technical support (as related to operations) for police dispatching services, special projects, and 911 operations. Performs as the department’s ACJIS SSO managing record validations, quality control, security and training.

Police Administrative Supervisor

Performs advanced skilled work overseeing the administrative functions of the Police Department, including Command Staff support, oversight of the Records Management System (RMS), departmental records and administrative personnel.
